Talk Thursday: Are you breathing just a little, and calling it a life?

Listen,
Are we alone in this world?” is a question you ask yourself.
You look around and see with your heart, not only with your eyes.
Breathing, for you is a joy; it is much more than survival.
Just as a child grasps for her mother’s breast, you grasp for meaning in the stem of a flower.
A bird flies, and you are fascinated at its transcendence.
Little by little, you break it apart, taking what you need and leaving the best for the rest.
And, in time, the rest will want to understand.
Calling to you, they plead, “Teach us.”
It, unfortunately, does not work that way.
A man must possess a desire to be; in order to be.
Life is not something to overcome, it is something to be undone.
